The Battery:
What is it?
A battery is a two terminal component that generates a constant
voltage output between its terminals. It is a source of electrical energy.
A PieceWise Linear Voltage Source (PWL) can also be used as a battery.
However, the battery component is easier to set up and requires
less schematic space.
What is it good for?
The battery can model an economic value that will not change.
It could be used to model a fixed rate of inflation or a fixed
number of workers at a factory.

At the left is shown the battery symbol. The positive
terminal is connected to the TPv1 test point (node 1).
The negative terminal is connected to ground (node 0).
This battery is named B1 and its voltage is 1.0 volt.
